Communication with Local Communities

Our mission is to contribute to local communities through energy. Since our founding, we have established sales offices throughout the Kanto region and have built relationships with our customers through communication based on the characteristics of each region. While prioritizing to provide energy in a safe and secure manner, we will work to revitalize local communities and promote sustainability as a partner that is close to the lives of local residents.

Communication with Local Communities through Sports

Initiatives with Tokyo Verdy

We are the corporate partners of the Tokyo Verdy soccer team and the Nippon TV Tokyo Verdy Beleza soccer team. Tokyo Verdy was promoted to the J1 League for the first time in 16 years in the 2024 season. We have installed banners celebrating their promotion to the J1 League at all of our offices, organized bus tours to Tokyo Verdy's away games, and are making other efforts to please supporters and local residents.

Wrapped buses to introduce "VERDY Gas Electricity ," in which a portion of gas and electricity rates are used to fund the team's operating and training expenses.

Donation of school bag covers to all new first-year students at elementary schools in Inagi City and Hino City, Tokyo Verdy's hometowns.

Initiatives with the UTSUNOMIYA BREX

The UTSUNOMIYA BREX basketball team, of which NICIGAS is an official sponsor, is promoting "BREX with" as a project to address the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). As a sponsor of this project, we contribute to the local community by donating basketballs to a mini-basketball club for local elementary school students and inviting them to BREX home games.

In the 2023-24 season, NICIGAS donated five basketballs with the NICIGAS and UTSUNOMIYA BREX logos to 10 mini-basketball clubs in Tochigi Prefecture, and will continue this initiative in the 2024-25 season.

NICIGAS invited a total of 600 people, mainly elementary school students, local residents and business partners to UTSUNOMIYA BREX home games. The children who attended the game were given novelty gifts and other social activities.

Initiatives with the SAITAMA MUSASHI HEAT BEARS

As an official sponsor of the Saitama Musashi Heat Bears baseball team, we held a "NICIGAS Day" on May 18, 2024, against the Kanagawa Future Dreams. Hybrid water heaters, storage batteries, and EVs were displayed in the event space outside the stadium, and two youth baseball teams were invited to participate in an event during the game, where they ran an inter-base relay. The entire event was attended by about 4,000 visitors.

Gas equipment promotion events

We hold gas equipment promotion events at each branch every fall.
At the 2023 Gas equipment promotion event, we enhanced the promotion of distributed energy equipment such as solar power generation systems, storage batteries, and EV vehicles to show many customers new ways to use energy.
