Responsibility for stakeholders

NICIGAS recognizes that respecting human rights is a fundamental prerequisite for the continued and sustainable growth of its business over the medium- to long-term. Based on this recognition, NICIGAS respects the rights of all stakeholders involved with the Company and prevents any unjust violations. We conduct our business with a strong commitment to international norms such as the International Bill of Human Rights, the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, and the United Nations Global Compact’s Principles on Human Rights, aiming to achieve a sustainable society and enhance corporate value.

Promotion structure

NICIGAS has established its approach to respecting human rights through key policies, including the Code of Conduct for Nippon Gas Group Officers and Employees, the Multistakeholder Policy, and the Declaration of Partnership Building. Additionally, the Group Risk Management Committee, a subordinate body of the Internal Control System Committee (chaired by the Representative Director, Chief Executive Officer), is responsible for preventing human rights violations and providing remedies in the event of any infringements.
